These are answers to frequently asked questions about the online real estate education available through 1st Choice Real Estate School.

Are 1st Choice Real Estate School courses approved for credit?
Yes. The courses offered by 1st Choice Real Estate School have met state guidelines and are certified for continuing education or licensing credits.

Why should I take an online course?
1st Choice Real Estate School strives to provide you with relevant online education, fast-loading pages and up-to-date material provided with easy navigation in a fun and informative manner. At 1st Choice Real Estate School it’s all about learning on your schedule, at your convenience…wherever you have access to the Internet. It’s that easy.

How long will it take me to complete a course?
Each hour of approved credit will take approximately one hour of computer time to complete. For example, a 3-hour continuing education course will take approximately 3 hours to complete. One of the benefits of online courses is that you can work at your own pace. You don’t have to complete the course in one sitting. The amount of time spent on course material is recorded and some states require we furnish student time affidavits. Please see the next question as there may be some limit on how long you can work on a course.

In what amount of time do I have to complete a course?
You have as long as you need based upon your state's education requirements. State requirements dictate time frames for courses and these requirements vary from state to state. In addition, some states have rules as to how many courses or hours of classes that you can complete in one day. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they are complying with their state regulatory commission's specific education requirements.

How does a course work?
Courses at 1st Choice Real Estate School consist of content pages, activities, lessons and quizzes. You will work your way through course material one chapter at a time. The amount of time spent on each page is added to the total time spent in a course. Ample time is allotted to each page, but if this is exceeded, you will be logged out due to inactivity. You may log back in at any time and continue from where you left off. Please read our Statement of Policy. It contains our Terms of Use and other information pertinent to the completion of our courses. 

How do I get my continuing education completion certificate?
After you have completed the end-of-course quiz, we will ask you to complete a short survey. Your certificate of completion will then be made available. It can be found in your list of Completed Courses. Please print a copy of the certificate of completion and keep it in a safe place for your records. Some states require that the student mail the certificate to the licensing authority, while others will request them upon an audit. It is the student’s responsibility to verify their specific education requirements with that state’s regulatory commission.

Where can I find my certificates? 
They can be found in your list of Completed Courses. Once courses are complete, they move from the Available Courses list to the Completed Courses list. Each completed course will have a link to the certificate for that course.

Can I review the material when I am finished taking the course?
Access to courses will be eliminated in a timeframe mandated by state regulations. Please check with your state regulator to better understand their requirements. Until such timeframes are met, you will be able to review course material. Once a course is complete, it no longer shows up under your Available Courses tab, it is moved to the Completed Courses tab. 

Are there tests in the course?
Yes. There are short assessments throughout the course and quizzes at the end of most chapters. And there is an end-of-course quiz.

What happens if I do not pass a quiz?
If you do not pass a quiz, the system will automatically give you the opportunity to retest.

Will I need additional study material?
No. For most courses, everything you need is contained on our website. If additional material is required, it will be noted in the course description.

Can I print course material?
Yes. You can print from your web browser, one page at a time. The material contained in this course is available to you exclusively. All copying, printing, duplicating, or use beyond the scope of this site is expressly prohibited and violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Once I start, will I be required to stay online for a certain amount of time?
At 1st Choice Real Estate School it’s all about learning on your schedule, at your convenience, at your pace. You can start and stop whenever you wish.

Can I repeat a course?
Each state has different rules regarding course repetition. Please contact your state’s regulatory commission for their rules.

Can more than one person take the same course at the same time?
No. The course software requires active participation throughout the course and is designed for a single user. Only the student who has enrolled in and paid for the course can receive credit for it.

Can I access my course on more than one computer?
Yes. You can use the course on any computer that has access to the internet.

Why do I have to enter my information correctly?
It is important that information on the registration portal is accurate. This is the information that will print on your certificate of completion. Failure to provide accurate information will result in not receiving course credit.

What personal information does 1st Choice Real Estate School store about me?
For the purpose of creating certificates of completion and reporting your course credits to your state’s regulatory commission, 1st Choice Real Estate School must have your full name, address, daytime phone number, and license number when applicable. Many states also require the use of your Social Security Number for reporting credits. A credit card or checking account will be required to process your order online; however, 1st Choice Real Estate School DOES NOT store this information and the card information is entered on a secure and encrypted page. I forgot my User ID and password, how can I retrieve it?
If you have attempted to use a User ID and password that is not matching the information we have in our system, please click on Lost Password, enter your email address and click Send Password. You will receive an email with your new password. You may change this password in your Profile if you wish. What are my payment options?
You can pay for any 1st Choice Real Estate School course using your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card. Or you can pay online by check. In any case, the process is simple and secured through authorize.net.
